MEET ROBERT WOODMAN
Independent Insurance Agent & Co-Owner
Rob Woodman started working in Financial Services in 2015 shortly after retiring from his 20-year career as a Great Lakes Merchant Marine Pilot. He acquired his Life & Health Insurance License in that year and his Series 65 Securities License shortly thereafter. In 2018 Rob shifted his focus to Medicare and acquired his AHIP Certification and became registered with Aetna, Anthem/Maine Health, Humana, Martin's Point, United Healthcare (AARP) and WellCare. Starting in 2023, his daughter Hilary joined him in the business.
Rob is an active member of Saint Peter's Parish in Portland where he Lectors and sings in the Choir. He lives in Westbrook with his little dog Begonia.
MEET HILARY MANSFIELD
Independent Insurance Agent & Co-Owner
Hilary Mansfield is a state licensed, independent Medicare insurance agent. She recently joined the family business and feels grateful for the opportunity to learn the ropes from her father, Robert Woodman. A lifelong learner with a degree in education and over thirteen years of experience working for one of the biggest calendar and greeting card publishers in the Northeast, Hilary brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Woodman Mansfield Company. Hilary is very happy to use her positive attitude, creativity, and passion for education to assist people in navigating the confusing system of Medicare services.
In her free time, Hilary enjoys taking nature photos, spending time with her dog and horse, and swimming or kayaking.
MEET JEREMY BARNARD
Retirement Planner
Jeremy Barnard, M.A., is a fiduciary advisor as well as a Certified Financial Educator (CFE) with the Heartland Institute of Financial Education. Heartland’s mission is to provide quality educational courses in workplace and community settings across the nation to empower every individual through financial education.
The CFE is a FINRA recognized, one-of-a-kind designation awarded to financial professionals who not only have the highest standard of knowledge and performance in the field of financial services, but also experience in the area of teaching adult learners.
Jeremy also holds a NSSA certificate in Social Security Education. This rigorous certification requires comprehensive Social Security knowledge, continuing education, and updates on ongoing changes and nuances that occur every year in Social Security.
Jeremy is a native of Maine, born in Calais and raised in Houlton. As a fourth–generation Mainer, he understands the strong and independent nature of the people of Maine and the specific challenges that living in our great state may present.
He lives in Lisbon Falls with his wife and children and their black Labrador, Pippi. He is a committed father and local businessman and enjoys working backstage in local theater productions, Nerf gun fights with his kids, and hiking and camping in northern Maine.
MEET NICHOLAS TOMSO
Estate Attorney
Nicholas A. Tomso is the owner and lead attorney of Rune Law, LLC - a central Maine-based firm which has a focus on legal planning for Maine citizens. Nick assists his clients in setting up their personal estate plans, including establishing Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and more. He also helps clients as they begin to look towards retirement and create strategies alongside financial professionals, for the best way to accomplish their retirement goals. Nick will also assist local small business owners in planning their success, and help them navigate nuanced laws and rules in establishing sole proprietorships, partnerships, and LLCs.
